The Future Sound of Music.
Getting that ‘lucky break’ in the music business has never been easy, but these days it is tougher than ever. Why? Well think about it; just about every possible style of music has already been covered! In fact, true originality is becoming more and more elusive on a weekly basis.
Of course, there are bound to be a few more fresh styles in the years ahead… although it is becoming increasingly tricky for today’s new artists to come up with anything that has not already been done before. And you only have to think about just how many different genres of music we now have at our disposal to see why this is so true…

For example, back in the eighties you didn’t have such things as Ganga Rap, Downtempo Drum and Bass or Darkwave on offer, did you? And if you’d told someone that your favourite band were a Trip Hop outfit, they wouldn’t have the foggiest idea of what you were talking about!
It’s called ‘progress'I guess, but it’s still a real ball-ache for musicians. Times have changed in so many ways and the twenty-first century is home to all manner of modern marvels and wonders; we have MP3 players, fatless deep-fat fryers, adblue solution, hybrid cars and even (gulp) USB ‘humping dogs’!

But it’s not all bad news for the music industry. Well, not for fans of music at least… After all, if today’s musicians have to try so much harder to create a sound which is ‘totally original’, then we are sure to hear some very interesting styles in the near future. ‘Metalbilly’, ‘Goth-Funk'and ‘Trip County’; the possibilities really are endless, aren’t they? But don’t laugh about any of these too much as they may well become a reality in the years to come… no matter how ridiculous they sound right now!
